Day 3 : Mt Laguna Overlook (mi. 48) to Mile 73.9

Day three was a fullll day of hiking, descending from Mt Laguna, closing in on Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. The entire day was on an open-faced ridge, so it was hot hot hot.

Being a good bit ahead of my start crew, I ended up hiking with a gang hikers that seemed to be my pace. I hiked with them from mile 65-70, but ended up skipping ahead because their conversations were a bit too crude for my liking. All good- just not my jam. 🤙

With evidence of the Superbloom lingering on the valley floor, this gave me a bit of  spring in my step as I approached the next string of mountains.
